Archibald Leach becomes Cary Grant

Archibald Leach becomes Cary Grant

Archibald Leach was a teenaged runaway who became the definition of a gentleman. Who would of thought a circus juggler would be known as “the epitome of elegance”. It wasn’t without practice and change, though. First went the name. Archibald just didn’t fit what “Cary Grant” needed to be, to become who he was. Grant was blessed with the face and the bod, but he honed his character, carefully. “I pretended to be somebody I wanted to be and I finally became that person. Or he became me. Or we met at some point.” Happy Birthday, Mr. Grant! (18 January, 1904)
